Contact Us: (916) 498-8540 or mail@acw.tax
what if the appointment time doesn’t work for me?
How do I reschedule/cancel?
Use the reschedule link in the calendar event/email to find a spot that best fits your schedule or contact us via phone/email to request an alternate date.
why are appointments pre-assigned?
In order to best serve our growing client base, we need to make contact with every client prior to the filing deadline, even if filing an extension. We have multiple Tax Preparers on staff in order to provide the highest level of service to everyone.
why is my appointment with someone other than aaron?
All tax returns are prepared by Aaron C. Welch, Enrolled Agent. It is not possible for Aaron to conduct a full tax interview with every client during tax season. Our skilled and experienced staff has been trained to assist with the initial Tax Interview, which mostly consists of data gathering, info verification, and answering your questions. Any questions that can’t be answered by our staff will take note of your question, for Aaron to answer when he works on your tax return.
is my appointment virtual or in person?
All tax appointments are scheduled as a Zoom conference by default. Please be available towards the beginning of the time slot for a quick tax interview.
can I meet in person?
Of course! We’d love to meet with you in our office. Please call 916-498-8540 or email mail@acw.tax to request that your appointment be converted to in person.

I am planning to file an extension - Do I still need a tax appointment?
Yes, if you want to file an extension, there’s still a bunch of information we need in order to properly file it. This will also give you a chance to minimize/eliminate penalties and interest. All taxes are due by the original filing deadline whether you extend or not. We have a series of questions that will help determine if a payment is necessary and we also need to schedule a tax appointment for you after the deadline.
should I send tax docs before my appointment?
Yes! If possible. Our talented team will be able to sort/organize and start entering your tax docs ahead of time so the tax interview goes smoothly and we have more time to answer your important questions.
what if my return is not complete by the end of the time slot?
This is common. You will receive a list of pending/missing items at the end of your appointment, and a follow up timeframe will be discussed.
my appointment is in march, can I have an earlier date?
February is reserved for Business Tax returns, due to the filing date being one month earlier than individuals. We specialize in taxes for small businesses and most of our clients have business tax return filing obligations. For our Sole Prop clients, there are plenty of dates in March and you will be surprised how quickly February goes by!
why are there no appointments in april?
By April 1st there will be hundreds of projects in the queue waiting to be finished. We need this time to complete or extend the tax returns we’ve already started.
